Penny

Coach Penny began gymnastics at the age of four with Twisters Gymnastics in Abbotsford. By the age of six, she was already competing in the Junior Olympic program at level 3. Over her years competing as a gymnast, Penny advanced to Junior Olympic Level 5, earning a number of medals along the way.

After relocating to Salt Spring Island, Penny joined Salt Spring Circus and Gymnastics as a coach in training during the 2025-2026 year. Her strong gymnastics background, love of the sport, and enthusiasm for coaching made her a wonderful addition to our CIT team, and we are excited to have Penny join us as a gymnastics coach for the 2026-2027 year. Penny is excited to be coaching children's gymnastics at SSCG and sharing her love of the sport with young athletes.

Fun fact: In her free time, Penny loves doing headstands and yoga on her paddlebaaord, swimming and snuggling with her two guinea pigs.
