Vanessa

Coach Vanessa began her aerial journey in 2017 when she started training in aerial silks at Vancouver Circus School. She has since continued her circus training through a variety of different programs, including Vancouver Circus School, Tantra Fitness Vancouver, Island Circus Space, and SSCG. Vanessa's background in dance, along with her passion for hiking and outdoor adventures, has helped shape her journey into circus and aerials. 

Vanessa joined Tsunami Circus as a volunteer coach in 2023 before becoming a circus coach with SSCG in 2025. She also took on the role of General Manager in 2025. Vanessa loves aerials because it combines creativity, challenge, and the excitement of always having something new to learn. As a coach, she loves seeing students surprise themselves by achieving new skills they never thought they could do and helping them discover new strengths along the way.

Fun fact:  Vanessa is an avid hiker and has completed multi-day hiking trips on 4 different continents around the world.
