Hi Team, We did it, what an amazing show! We've had so many people say this was the best one yet, which means even more coming from people who have seen almost every Tsunami show over the years!
I'm still unpacking and working through post-show logistics, but I've got some fun details and highlights to share with everyone soon.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with this to keep the post-show vibes going:

SATURDAY May 9- FINAL SHOW DAY
Another amazing show last night everyone! The crowd was a bit flat, but you pulled together and really supported each other. The audience loves seeing you cheer each other on- I've received a bunch of comments that your teamwork is one of the best parts of the show!
- West of the Moon currenty has tickets for both shows today and we may have some at the door as well. Please spread the word.
- We have many raffle tickets to sell today. Please help us- tell everyone you know!
- Thank you to everyone who brought extra concession items yesterday! You guys rock!
- Please plan to show up at 10 tomorrow to help with teardown/cleanup. We know it's Mother's Day- most of us are Moms too and would love to spend some time with our kids after enjoying yours for the last many weeks :) If enough people show up, we could be done by lunch time!
- I'll need lots of people to take silks and costumes home for washing.
PLAN FOR TODAY:
- Coaches & Crew arrive 9:00
- Performers arrive 11:00
- Show 1-3
- Break 3-3:45 (*Please note Coaches/Crew are not supervising troupers during this time)
- Performers arrive 3:45
- Show 5-7
- 7-7:30- Hang costumes, tidy
- 7:30- Whole troupe wrap-up. Please plan to stay for this for our final chat and team cheer.
- BYO TISSUES- After last night, we're all out.

Hi Team,Spectacular show last night- we hope you're as proud of yourselves as we are of you all! It's so rewarding watching all your hard work pay off! And HUGE thanks to all the volunteers who are making this show possible for us!
- Please spread the word- we currently have tickets available for all 3 upcoming shows. West of the Moon has tickets and we will have them at the door (I'm not sure how many).
- We could use lots of extra concession items for today and tomorrow. We didn't have enough yesterday and had to use treats we had set aside for today and tomorrow's shows.
- Reminder- canned beverages are not permitted on stage or upstairs in the Tides/Waves room, they are easily knocked over and we don't have time to wash costumes between shows. Water bottles and juice boxes with straws only please.
PLAN FOR TODAY:
- Coaches & Crew- arrive 12:00
- Performers arrive 1:45
- Show 4-6
- Immediately following show- Whole team photo- Performers, coaches, crew, coordinators gather back in the gym. If you're not wearing a costume please wear a Tsunami shirt.
- Tides/Waves pickup after photo
- Seniors debrief following photo

TECH WEEK/WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Hi Team, Great work over the past 2 days - things are really coming together!
An extraordinary thank- you to all the volunteers who are putting in very long days to support our performers in becoming show-ready! We know it's a juggle to fit in the extra coaching with your regular jobs. Please know that we appreciate you!
Here are the schedules for this Wed/Thurs, and for tech weekend through to the end of show weekend.
Seniors reminder: Bookable rehearsal slots are available for both groups and individuals who need extra time to practice. Check the schedule for specific timing details. Coordinate with your group members and email to reserve a slot (for some groups, there's no point rehearsing unless all group members can attend). Note that some of these times fall during the school day- if you plan to book one of those, you must have permission from both your parents and your teacher before you book.
Questions? Please email tsunamicircusssi@gmail.com
Rest well everyone, Michelle

Weekend To-Do List
Hi Team,
We're just 12 days from Dress Rehearsal, and the team has been working incredibly hard.
Thank you to all of you- troupers, volunteer coaches and our support crew- our families- for the energy and commitment you're putting into making this show happen! We could really use some extra helpers to assist with teardown tomorrow at 7:30pm. Last Saturday, we had a fantastic group of parents step in, and it made a big difference for our volunteer coaches, many of whom spend the entire day working with our kids. If you're able to help, please let us know HERE.We had a great time at Country Grocer on Tuesday, and will be back next Tuesday (and potentially the Tuesday after) to advertise the show! Troupers, we'd love to see you there if you can join us!As you can imagine, coordinating 40+ performers, 14 pieces and 5 shows for more than 1100 audience members, is a huge undertaking. It truly takes a team effort to bring it all together. With that in mind, here is your to-do list for the weekend:
1. Please review the updated Saturday schedule for tomorrow- there have been a few changes: SAT SCHEDULE HERE
2. Visit the volunteer sign-up sheet for tech and show periods and sign up for a few shifts. We're so grateful to have our troupe families as part of the team! TECH/SHOW VOLUNTEER SIGNUP HERE
3. We're still collecting a few items for the show. Please check the 'items to borrow/collect' list and sign up to lend what you can (please be sure to label all items with your name and contact details). ITEMS TO BORROW/COLLECT LIST HERE.
4. We're organizing a concession for the Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday shows. Please sign up to bring goodies: CONCESSION SIGNUP SHEET HERE.5. Confirm your final rehearsal times for next Wednesday/Thursday. Depending on readiness, some groups are scheduled for both nights, while others may not be scheduled at all: WED 29/THURS 30 SCHEDULE HERE.
6. We are finalizing the detailed tech weekend and tech week fix and tweak schedule and will share it with you asap.
7. FINALLY, please check the updates page regularly for the latest information.
That's all for now, thanks everyone! If you've got questions or notice anything I've missed, please reach out.

Reminder- Snow on the SIMS roof = grounded troupers.
Given the current weather, it's a good time to remind everyone of our snow procedures.
If SIMS is closed, our classes are cancelled. Otherwise we typically hold troupe classes as scheduled. There are a few winter weather situations that may change our plans:
- If our coaches are unable to safely get to the gym, we will cancel
- If incoming snow starts accumulating and is expected to continue, we may cancel the remainder of the day's classes so coaches can get home safely.
- If there is a heavy snow load on the SIMS roof, we are unable to use the aerial apparatus
- When we are grounded, we shift to ground-based circus activities.
I'll post the update here if we ever need to cancel a class. Let's hope for clear skies!
