  • Scan the receipts to the store ipad
  • Assign them to Box 120
  • Thank you to everyone who has donated receipts so far- we appreciate you!

Seniors Circus Homework: Feb 18

Please check the music document and listen to the songs that are being considered for your pieces.

Be prepared to discuss the options with your groups.

Country Grocer Save-A-Tape- BOX 120

Did you know that we rely on funds from the Country Grocer Save-A-Tape program to help run the Tsunami program and put on the annual show?

  • Country Grocer donates 1% of your total receipt value to us.
  • They have a new digital system that replaces the bank of boxes.
  • Scan your receipt barcode at the Ipad near the exit (where the boxes used to be).
  • Please assign your receipts to BOX 120

Have unscanned receipts at home?  Bring them to class and we'll scan them for you.

THANK YOU!  AND THANKS TO COUNTRY GROCER TOO!

Reminder- Snow on the SIMS roof = grounded troupers.

Given the current weather, it's a good time to remind everyone of our snow procedures.

If SIMS is closed, our classes are cancelled.
Otherwise we typically hold troupe classes as scheduled.  There are a few winter weather situations that may change our plans:

  • If our coaches are unable to safely get to the gym, we will cancel
  • If incoming snow starts accumulating and is expected to continue, we may cancel the remainder of the day's classes so coaches can get home safely.
  • If there is a heavy snow load on the SIMS roof, we are unable to use the aerial apparatus
  • When we are grounded, we shift to ground-based circus activities.

I'll post the update here if we ever need to cancel a class.  Let's hope for clear skies!

Music Suggestions are due this Friday, Feb 20!

Send your suggestions and youtube/streaming links to Manda @ circustsunami@gmail.com

Help us create our SHOW POSTER!

We're inviting our Tsunami troupers to help design the official poster for this year's show!

Our current show title is Undertow (but it could change)
We're looking for a design that captures the spirit of the show and visually connects:

  • The underwater world and the human world
  • Human vs machine
  • Circus arts, ground and aerial apparatus (unicycling, props, german wheel, cube, lyra, trap, hammock, silks  etc)

Poster Guidelines:

  • Light coloured or white background
  • Focus on the artistic and visual elements of the design
  • We will add the final text details once all info is confirmed.
  • Please leave space for several small logos.

  • Tsunami Circus Presents.... Undertow
  • SIMS Gymnasium
